1. How did you come up with the idea of starting a Mystery Dinner Theater?
I have always been fascinated with theater and wanted to create an interactive experience that combined the elements of live theater with a three-course meal. Once I came up with the concept, I spent a lot of time researching and planning before opening my own theater.
2. What were some of the initial challenges you faced when starting your business?
One of the biggest challenges was finding the right location and space for the theater. It took a while to find the right spot in Baltimore, but eventually, it all worked out. Another major challenge was figuring out how to promote the theater and get the word out to potential customers.

One of the toughest challenges we faced was maintaining cash flow while we were still building our clientele. There were a few times when we had to borrow money just to keep the business open. However, we kept pushing forward and eventually things started to take off.

We were previously using a different e-commerce platform for our online ticket sales, but we quickly realized that Shopify was much easier to use and offered a more user-friendly experience for our customers. Switching to Shopify has allowed us to streamline our ticket sales process and has increased our revenue substantially.
5. What strategies have you used to attract new customers?
We have focused heavily on social media, email marketing, and partnering with local businesses to offer promotions and discounts. These strategies have been very effective in bringing in new customers and building our brand.
6. How important do you think customer service is to the success of your business?
Customer service is absolutely essential to our business. We pride ourselves on providing an unforgettable experience for our guests, and that starts with excellent customer service. We make sure to always go above and beyond to ensure that our guests have an amazing time at our theater.
7. What advice would you give to someone looking to start their own business in the entertainment industry?
One of the most important pieces of advice I could give is to stay persistent and never give up on your dreams. Starting a business, especially in the entertainment industry, is not easy, but if you believe in your idea and are passionate about it, you will be able to overcome any obstacle. Also, make sure you have a solid business plan in place before getting started.
