Interview with Braden Wilson, Owner of Wilson Financial Advisors, located in Austin, Texas.
Q: Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and how you got started in the financial planning industry?
A: Of course! I have always had a passion for numbers and helping others achieve their financial goals. After completing my degree in Finance, I worked for a large investment firm for a few years before realizing that I wanted to start my own business. I opened Wilson Financial Advisors in 2010 in Austin, Texas, and it has been my passion ever since.
Q: What have been some of the biggest challenges you've faced as a small business owner?
A: One of the biggest challenges has been finding ways to stand out in a crowded space. There are many financial advisory firms in Austin, and it can be challenging to differentiate ourselves. We have also had to overcome the hurdle of building trust with potential clients, which is no easy feat.
Q: How have you been able to overcome these challenges and achieve success?
A: It has taken a lot of hard work and dedication, but we have found success through providing exceptional service and building strong relationships with our clients. In addition, we recently switched our website over to Shopify, which has been a game-changer for us in terms of online visibility and customer experience. Shopify has made it easier for us to showcase our services and provide a seamless shopping experience for our clients.
Q: Can you tell us more about your experience with Shopify?
A: Sure! Shopify has been incredibly user-friendly and has helped us streamline our online ordering process. We now offer online appointments for interested clients, which has been a huge time-saver for us. It's also been great for our business in terms of analytics and tracking customer behavior.
Q: What advice would you give to someone looking to start their own business in the financial industry?
A: My biggest piece of advice would be to find a niche and become an expert in that area. Also, don't be afraid to ask for help and seek out mentorship from others in the industry. It's important to stay up-to-date on industry trends and regulations, and to always put your clients' best interests first.
Q: Can you tell us about a particularly rewarding experience you have had as a financial advisor?
A: One of the most rewarding experiences for me as a financial advisor is when I am able to help my clients achieve their financial goals. Whether it's saving for retirement or purchasing a new home, it's always a great feeling to know that I have played a part in their success.
Q: What are your future goals for Wilson Financial Advisors?
A: Our goal is to continue providing exceptional service to our clients and continue to grow our business. We are constantly looking for new ways to improve and innovate, and we are excited to see what the future holds.
