1. How did you get started in the art supply business?

I've always had a passion for art and creating something new. After studying fine arts in college, I realized that there was a need in the creative community for a one-stop-shop for all kinds of art supplies. So, I decided to open my own art supply store.

Of course, there have been some challenges along the way, especially during the pandemic. However, with the help of online retailers like Shopify, we have been able to continue to serve our customers even when they can't visit us in-store. We also had to adapt to the changing market by offering online courses, which has been really popular amongst our clients.

4. How has Shopify helped you grow your business?

Shopify has been a great platform for us to start an online store. With their user-friendly interface and excellent customer service, we were able to set up our online shop in no time. Shopify has also provided us with a variety of tools and features that allow us to manage our inventory, process payments, and track sales efficiently.

5. What advice would you give to someone who wants to start their own art supply store?

My advice would be to focus on quality rather than quantity. Offer your customers the best products, customer service, and shopping experience. Most customers would appreciate ethical and sustainable brands compared to ones that offer cheap materials. Also, don't hesitate to embrace technology and new marketing strategies to make your business stand out.

6. What does the future hold for ArtisMart?

We are constantly looking for ways to improve our business and offer our customers the best experience possible. We are looking forward to expanding our reach and our product offerings through our online store via Shopify.

7. Lastly, what's the best thing about owning an art supply store?

The best thing about owning an art supply store is being able to help and inspire people to create something beautiful. Also, it's great to see our customers' improvement over time, whether it's through taking our courses, or by simply trying new products. It's all about being part of our customers' creative journeys, and we would not want to miss any of it.
